This past weekend, I had four days off in a row. Such an occurance had not happened for several months. I took the time to travel to Wyoming to see family and friends. Saturday, when I got there I visited with my sister and her boyfirned, my grandpa, and my parents. Then I went to "The Jazz Spot" in dowtown Casper and visited with friends and listened to live music. Sunday was spent at church and visiting friends from church. Monday morning I visited a few more friends, went and saw grandpa again, went out for lunch with friend, and then drove to Laramie. I stayed with friends who have a houseful of young kids. It was a blast. Tuesday I drove back to North Platte in time to teach two hour-long bass lessons and then practice with "The Hatchbacks." We have a big gig on the 27th, the dinner and auction for the North Platte Public Schools Foundation.
So my time off was great. I so needed to get outta town for a few days. It was time well spent.
