Arround the Yard

The tree on my corner looks like it is leaning.
Sometime before I bought my house, someone or something hacked away a huge limb on the other side of it and now it is lopsided. I love it anyways.
My raised bed in front of my house should be turning green here soon.
The bed had a mix of grass clippings and leaves and fresh soil.

My backyard will be turning green again. I transplanted my Morning Glories outside around the patio.

Thanks to Mom and Dad for the $$ to buy Patio furniture with and for the grill. I'll be putting it to good use.
In the near future...
Going to my sister's graduation in Wyoming
Getting underground sprinklers, finally
Continue working full-time for Midwest
Finish up clinical hours and skills for the Paramedic class.
Pass the National Registry Exam by August
Play music at a lot of weddings this summer
and blog more regular... yeah right.

The Good News and the Bad News

The Good News...
I have a cool little rental car to drive to Wyoming. Its a blue Nissan Sentra.
$34.99 a day is a bit of a boot in the berries, though.

The Bad News...
The "Harmonic Balancer" sheared the "Key Way" off in the crankshaft of my 4Runner...
If the only part of that you understood is "4Runner," thats okay. I don't understand too much of the situation either, just enough to know that if this had happened on Saturday on my way to Wyoming, it would have caused an entire pyramid scheme of problems. It would have wrecked the engine and the radiator, probably would have damaged the hood, and generally torn apart almost everything else under the hood. This could have happened on the interstate. Thank God it didn't.

The Good News...
A local shop can fix it.

The Bad News...
The won't have the right part til Monday.

The Good News...
I still get to go home for the weekend, see my three sisters and my neice, my parents, and a bunch of friends.

The Bad News...
I have to come back on Monday in time to drop the car off at the rental place, pick up my Toyota, and drive to class in McCook by 6:30pm.

The Good News...
I have a great book on CD to finish listening to... "House" bny Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti.

I am leaving you with good news.

Hometown Six - Place of Worship

March's hometown six project was "Places of Worship."
My place of worship is the North Platte Berean Church.

The church is located on the historic north side of the city.

Above were pictures of the relative new (built in the 90's) sanctuary.
Below are pictures of the older part of the building built in the late 1930's.

You can visit the church on line at www.npberean.org, or every Sunday Morning in person. Services are at 9:30am and 11:00am. There are also services and small group meetings throughout the week.

What in the world is Hometown Six? It wasn't my idea. Info is at mikao.blogspot.com.

I get to return to Wyoming for Easter. I am pretty excited to go back and see all my family. All three sister and my neice will be there. That hasn't happenned for a long time. I am really looking forward to the visit, even though it will be very short.
