The Hatchbacks in Sidney

The Hatchbacks will be playing in Sidney, Nebraska on Friday, August 25th at the new Viaero Wireless store for their Grand Opening. We'll be playing from 6-8pm. Come check us out if you are in the area.

As of a week and a half ago, I am an official Paramedic, with certification and license in hand. It all came just in time, too. Work has definately needed me as a paramedic and I am happy to be there as one now. It'll be nice to be paid a bit more and to be able to do a lot more in the back with the patients now, without direct supervision for every move I make and medication I administer.

I wish I could give details and tell stories of the runs I've been on, but I have to be careful to not commit a violation of privacy acts. That is why I don't talk much about what I do.

Rescue Rob

On Saturday evening, some friends of mine had a barbecue at their house in honor of me passing all my Paramedic tests. There was a cake with "Rescue Rob" on it. If my disc was working right here at the library, you'd see pictures of it, too.

I cannot thank people enough who have helped me and encouraged me in my pursuit. It has been a long journey.

It is great to live in a place where I have gotten to know many people, where I have friends who I can go to for encouragement, and friends who are there to share in accomplishments.

I planted new plants arround my patio. They are perennials which I should be able to enjoy year after year. Hostas and Yellow Trumpet Vine. The tumpet vine will wind its way arround the lattice out there. I also made the purchase of a weed-eater/edger. Its a cordless electric one. So far I like it. For a small estate like mine, it oughta do the trick.

The Test is Over

My trip to Vegas was a great success.

Got to see my Aunt and Uncle,
Got to see my cousins and their families who I hadn't seen in years,

AND

I passed the IV station.

Now I just sit and wait for the results to be officialized so I can go get my state license.
